         WELBECH GELDINGS

Izra Spiderman (Pure Arab)

Endurance experience: 1260km in Endurance competition, including 5 x 120km FEI** Rides and 2 x 80km FEI* Rides. Successes:  Rode a SA qualifying time in the 120km** at the SAIC for the Eastern Cape Team in 2011. Won the 80km Ride at Blakeridge in 2011 (3hrs 53min - SA qualifying time) at a corrected speed of 27km/h. Won the 120km FEI** Ride at Schanskraal in 2011 (6hrs 17min - SA qualifying time) also winning the Eastern Cape Light Weight Championship for 2011.

Description: 7 year old grey gelding. 15.1 hands. (Sire: "BBB Stings Maestro" & Dam: "Al-Shar Nuraan").

Trainer's Comments: Excellent pulses. He has very long legs, a long stride and moves effortlessly. Will start being competitive at the endurance rides in 2011 - indeed his first really competitive ride was at Blakeridge (13th August 2011) when he came first in a very fast time of 3hrs 53mins and looked really good afterwards !! 

Sambist ( Part Arab)

Endurance experience: 1190km in Endurance competition, including an 80km FEI* Ride, an ERASA 120Km Ride and the Fauresmith 200km Ride in 2011. Successes: He won the 80km Child division at the Albertinia Ride 30th July 2011.

Description: Bay gelding turning 8 during 2011. 14.3 hands. (Sire: "Banghor Nahbi" - who to date has done over 3500km in endurance competition).

Trainer's Comments: Good pulses and forward going. A very strong little horse who is easy to work with. Will be a good 100 miler horse.

Welbech Echo (Part Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 230km in Endurance competiton.

Description: Chestnut gelding turning 7 in 2011. 15.2 hands.

Trainer's Comments: Very good pulses and forward going. He will still be riding reasonably slowly in 2011. 

Welbech Cameo (Part Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 520km in Endurance competiton.

Description: 6 year old grey gelding. 15.1 hands.

Trainer's Comments: Good pulses, forward going and easy to ride. Will still be riding reasonably slowly until the end of 2011. 

Welbech Shaheer (Part Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 530km in Endurance competiton, including an 80km FEI* Ride and a 120km FEI** Ride. Successes:  Came 4th in the 120km FEI** Ride at Schanskraal in 2011 also winning the Eastern Cape Standard Weight Championship for 2011.

Description: 7 year old grey gelding. 15 hands.

Trainer's Comments: Very forward going and has a long stride. He will start riding more competitively during 2011.

Phariz (Part Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 400km in Endurance competiton, including an 80km FEI* Ride. Successes:  Rode his fastest 80km Ride at Blakeridge in 2011 in a time of 4hrs 22min which was a SA qualifying time.

Description: 9 year old bay gelding. 15 hands. (Sire: "Banghor Nahbi" - who to date has done over 3500km in endurance competition).

Trainer's Comments: He is a strong solid horse with a lot of spark. Very forward going with good pulses. Needs an experienced rider. Longer distances.

Karana Monogram (Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 370km in Endurance competitin, including an 80km FEI*Ride.

Description: 7 year old grey gelding. 15.1 hands. (Sire: "Tehama Rasputin" & Dam: "Sidi Aatika").

Trainer's Comments: Athletic forward going horse. Needs a strong experienced rider. Very good pulses. 

WELBECH MARES (Competing in Endurance)

Banghor Gezzera (Pure Arab)

Endurance experience: 540km in competition. Successes: Came 2nd with a SA qualifying time in a 80km FEI* Ride and rode a SA qualifying time for the Eastern Cape Team in a 120km FEI** Ride at the SAIC in 2011.

Description: 11 year old grey mare. 15.1 hands. (Sire: "Aurangzzeb" & Dam: "Banghor Managa").

Trainer's Comments: Outstanding pulses and very forward going. She will start riding competitively in 2011 and will be used for breeding at Welbech Stud following her endurance career. 

Welbech Shareefa (Pure Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 1030km in Endurance competition, including 2 x 80km FEI* Rides and 2 x 120km FEI** Rides. Successes:  Rode for the Eastern Cape Team at the 200km Ride at Fauresmith. She came 2nd Young Rider in the 120km FEI** Ride at Schanskraal in a time of 6hr 49min.

Description: Grey mare turning 8 at the end of 2011. 15.1 hands. 80% Crabbet Lines. (Sire: "Banghor Tabor Shaklan & Dam: "Olford Silver Jewel").

Trainer's Comments: Outstanding pulses and forward going. A very strong solid horse.

Welbech Silver Charlotte (Pure Arab)

Endurance experience: Completed 550km in Endurance competition, including an 80km FEI* Ride and an ERASA 120km Ride. Successes: Came 4th Light Weight at the ERASA 120km Ride at the SAIC in 2011. 

Description: 7 year old grey mare. 15.1 hands. 80% Crabbet Lines. (Sire: "Shaprisure Padron" & Dam: "Olford Silver Jewel").

Trainer's Comments: Very strong and forward going with good pulses. She will be riding slowly in 2011. Will need a strong rider.

        Jhordan Hijinx (Part Arab)

           Endurance experience: Started Endurance in August 2011 and has  completed 190km in Endurance competition.

        Description: 11 year old chesnut mare. 15.1 hands. 50% Crabbet lines. (Sire: "Shari-Salic Shahika" & Dam: "Honey Girl").

        Trainer's Comments: Very powerful horse. Will be used for breeding  at the Welbech Stud following her endurance career.
